Total eclipse of the heart

Just call me Mrs. McDreamy.
Anyways, I think I'm going to make this a photo blog. Of course there will be blog posts of my day as well but mostly pictures. Also, I'm calling this blog "more then ink". I took it from a Have Heart song, kind of. Their song is called "More ThAn Ink" but I decided to call mine, "more thEn ink" because some tailoring company took that name and even though this isn't a real "blog" that's read by many people I don't want to get sued.
As I said earlier, I saw There Will Be Blood. It was really good; very long but very good.
Yesterday was the eclipse but totally forgot until I was waiting for my bus after my practicum and was like, "why does the moon look so cool?". I tried taking a picture with my cell phone but unfortch, it didn't turn out well and the moon looks like a street light. Meh, c'est la vie.
Tomorrow is the Hives. I've been waiting to see them for years and years so I'm excited.
I'm trying to get a press pass for Warped Tour. Wish me luck.

Tired and broke.

Yeah, so I got a new camera. Well, two new cameras. I'm pretty stoked. One is an SLR Nikon D40 and the other is also a Nikon regular point + shoot. Pretty dope.
I went to an anti-valentines day party yesterday instead of Say Hi. I kinda regret it becuse Say Hi would've probably have been more fun. Oh well! The party was alright. There was a five dollar cover charge but they played pretty good music surprisingly (Jusice, Hot Chip, Daft Punk and so on and so forth).
I'm going to see There Will Be Blood tonight. I never heard of this movie but it's nominated for an Oscar so it better be good.

A whole lotta woman means a whole lot more!

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckadee, fuck, fuck.

Yesterday during the Mika show I broke my camera. My camera = my life. I was invited on stage so I jumped at the chance and yeeuh I forgot to shut of my camera and it broke the same way my other camera did. I guess it's a good excuse to buy a new camera, amirite? SLR here I come. A cheap one though, there is no way in hell I can buy an expensive one.

Well, as I said earlier I saw Mika yesterday and it was off the chain. It was so good. Best show of 2008 much? Well, an early contender for Best Show Of the Year.

There were a lot of gay males and older females of the concert but the crowd wasn't so bad. I had to sit on Alex's lap most of the time because his seat was so far away and mine was close. So yeah, it was awkward. You know what else was awkward? Seeing an old frienemy and their BF in the boys washroom at the show. Why I was in the boy's washroom? Don't ask!

Today is Say Hi To Your Mom. I'm still on the fence about going today. They are REALLY GOOD and this will probably be the last time they play a small cheap venue like the UNICORN but I have to work tomorrow and I hate not having enough sleep, it really wears me out.

Also, Panic! At the Disco tickets went on sale today @ 10:00 and I totally got myself a ticket. Scene kid much? Nah, just a wannabe.

Whip it good.

I am an idiot. Not too long ago, I was invited to see Say Hi @ the Royal Unicorn on Facebook but I declined because I was like, "oh, it's one of those lame hipster dance things" but I just realized Say Hi is short for "Say Hi To Your Mom" and that they are playing THIS SATURDAY. Now I have to go or I will die. This band is so good, and fun!

I got one of my wisdom teeth pulled out today. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought although I feel a bit nauceous. I feel like going to bed but I cannot due to a lame Communications paper. Booo.

My lab teacher Wayne called today. He told me my new practicum placement is now in Blundell Centre... nearby my old house, about an hour and a half (bus ride) away from my current home. :(.

I finally saw Juno yesterday. It wasn't as good as I expected but it was really cute. Especially Michael Cera. I love the way he acts, it's really cute as well.

On Sunday I saw Cobra Starship.

PJ & I drank at the Roxy before because there was no way in hell I was going to see this band sober. Although, I didn't get drunk I still had enough buzz in me to dance. The Cab and We the Kings opened. Thosebands are both really cute and very emo. That show brought in my inner twelve year old. I even tried to dress the part.

and i don't even read, what the papers gotta say about me

Let's get drunk and freaky fly.

I am now officially a vegetarian.

Yes, that's right. No more meat for Michelle Swami. I sit beside this straight edge vegan girl in my business communications class and she really convinced me to become a vegetarian. She was telling me about all the gross stuff that they feed the animals and that the government passed a by-law saying that they are allowed to sell cloned meat without marking it. Gross. She gave me a whole bunch of vegan recipes which was pretty sweet. (I don't think I'll ever be a vegan, I love cheese so dang much!)

So, I saw Editors yesterday.

And it was very, very good. Tom Smith is one crazy fellow. Listening to Editors music you would think they would put you asleep but Tom has so much energy it's worth money just to see him do his epilelectic fits. Hot Hot Heat played the show too and man did that bring back memories! They played all older stuff too w/ an exception of two songs. They aren't as popular as they used to be, hell, they were even pelted with bottles and cups during one of their songs. What a shame because this is their hometown after all!

I did my first day of my practicum today. It was so boring. All I did was clean glasses after glasses and file (which I do for a living anyways). That store was so dead they even sent me home 2.5 hours early. Lame. It sucks working at the mall though; you end up spending more money ie: on lunch, things on sale! Oh, and I just hate the mall in general.

Check yes Juliet.

I accidently gave my dog chocolate today, kind of. I was doing my homework and I went upstairs to get something and saw my dog on the stairs chewing on a package of hot chocolate. How much chocolate is actually in those things anyways? Not very much I hope other it's RIP Momo. :(

I love pop punk. I know I'm 19 and should be listening to more age-appropriate music but I cannot help it. And it's not pop punk like Blink-182, Sum 41 or Green Day... I'm talking about stuff like Cobra Starship (who I am going to see on Sunday) and my new obsession, "We the Kings". Check them out, they are for the Buzznet crowd but they are really, really catchy.

R.I.P.

Someone that I went to school with died today. I wasn't particularlly close to him, hell he even made fun of me in highschool along with the rest of his big group of friends but it's still kind of sad to think that someone that went to school with me has already died. This person's occupation was something that would've got him killed eventually (drug dealing much?) but still this person was much too young to have died.

Okay, so I started to write in this again.

That's right folks, I decided to write in my "blog" again. I guess I stopped writing in this thing because my life has been pretty dull and there was nothing to write about, but I promise I'm going to start writing in this shiz again.

Anyways, I'm at work right now and it's pretty bunk. I should be doing homework and studying right now but I'm not. I'm at the computer doing nothing. I should really start studying though seeing as how I almost FAILED one of my classes last semester and if I fail one my classes my future career as a dispensing optician will not be happening and I will not be able to live in my second home, the U.K. haha.

Yesterday was pretty lame. Went to work then afterwards Monica, Yu, PJ and I went to Wings for John Duffields birthday. It was okay, there was no tables big enouch so we sat in a booth beside John's party. We had a few drinks and a few wings and we decided to go to "I LOVE DAFT PUNK". We met up with Cory and his underage friend and tried to get in but man, the lineup was long. The line-up wasn't even full of hipsters like I would've expected. It was full of weird Persian gangsters and stuff. Weirrrd. But yeah, we decided not to go in and we went home. Yeah, see it was pretty lame. Although, at 22nd street skytrain station we met this dude that talked and acted like JORDAN SPERLING. It was hilarious.

That is all.

Also, I cannot stop listening to GALLOWS. AHHH.
