Search This CIty

I always say I'm going to write in this but I always forget!

Actually, it's probably because I really have nothing to say... haha

Life is going alright...

I've been stressed out though because of board exam results, school, $$, etc. etccc. Hell, I've even found a few white hairs!! I would hate to be gray by the time I turn 25.

I've decided to go on a diet. I hope to lose at least 10 lbs or 5 kgs before NYE so I can kiss someone decent... if I decide what I want to do yet! I bought tickets to this...

Yeah, I hope it will be good. I'm only going to this shiz because it's cheap and they're going to play good music? I'm a bit concerned about the location... (the heart of bum town) bĂșt I will manage.

This will probably be the first time that all my friends and I will be split up on NYE but whatevv, it will beat what I did last year... (crashed a scene kid party, kissed an ugly guy, threw up a few, spilt a few, slept on the floor, awkward morning...)

SCHOOLS OUT IN A WEEK! I'm stoked, hopefully I'll make some more $$$ before X-MAS because I need a dress and hopefully a leather jacket?

Actually, if I find some nice material I'll probably make my dress... Well, if I find the time.

Old Habits Die Hard

This weekend was a totally randomm weekend it was unbelieveable.

First off, on Friday I had a job interview at Sears (HEHH) Optical which went alright, except she asked me about my nationality which she has no right to ask! They supposedly, were only looking for East Indian and Caucasian people at the moment and no Asians. I am half Japanese and half somewhat, East Indian but that just did not cut it with her, but since I looked more East Indian than Japanese she decided to continue on with the interview. I ended up doing a personality test and I ended up passing that... haha how can you fail one of those anyways...? Unless, you're a dumb idiot...oh wait a second...

ANYWAYS, after the interview I went to main street for some shopping and met up with PJ to go to metrotown for Becky's gift. We spent like, 4 hours at the mall when eventually settling on something. Then, at Chapters we get a call from Louise telling her to come to her party. We ended up going to her party and it was a total sausage fest. It was Louise, her girlfriend (?) Rahima, John Duffield, this flamer named Deepak and some other randoms but the best part was that Josh was there. You know, the one that stole my wallet way back when... haha we're cool now.. I guess. That party was spent drinking free booze, smoking cigarettes, smoking cig butts found on the ground and drunk dialing. Oh, and dancing to Calvin Harris and telling everyone I sucked him off (which I didn't btw.. obvz).

The NEXT DAY, was spent at work and at night I get a call from Josh and he said he wanted to do something so we decided to go to the cambie. I called PJ up and then we all drove downtown. The line for the Cambie was fucking huge and the crowd looked lame so we decided to go to Saturday's hipster night... the met. It was pretty fun... it was pretty much Bob Dylan, sticky floors, hot guys, rude girls, American Apparel, homeless, Native people, retards, cheap drinks, wheelchairs and fun times. Afterwards, at like, 3 we decided to hit up the casino where Josh won 18.50 and I lost 5.00.

THEN THE NEXT DAY, early in the morn I get a call saying I passed the test and have to do another two interviews so I had to make my way downtown again for another interview. It was actually quite hard because they asked me such dumb idiot questions. After the interview, she told me not to mention that I was half Asian to my next interviewer because she was looking for East Indians as well. Ummm, wtf? So, I ended up going to my next interview and it went okay until it was time to role play. I fucking hate role playing... especially when I'm being judged. Soooo, I totally screwed that part up, not to mention I'm not EAST INDIAN. Which I am by the way, well sort of... so you know what? Luxottica can suck my non existant balls. I can take my skills (wait, what?) elsewhere.

After it was Becky's birthday dinner. It was good, fun times were had. It was awkward... I guess. I was trying not to make it be but it still was. All I have to say though is, if you offer something someone for free you shouldn't be a bitch about it... just take it, even if you don't like it and stop being an ungrateful little bitch.

The end.

Oh, I saw CSS and Raconteurs this week. Both bands, amazing. The Kills also killed it as did SSION and Tilly. I cannot wait for Cold War Kids but I especially cannot wait for Chromeo and my blow job partner Calvin Harris. EEEEEE.

Starting over again

Okay, I know I always say this but... I'm going to start writing in this damn thing again. It was either going to be this or livejournal again... but I'm not too keen on livejournal because... I don't know. Hahaha.

I'm in Coquitlam right now. It's alright, close to school and free rent. Woo-hoo.

Geez, I know now why I don't write in this damn thing, my life is so dang boring.

I did see Bad Religion yesterday. It was sold out but the crowd was def. not as intense as NOFX. I didn't get stitches or anything of that nature. I like to think I'm pretty tough when it comes to "moshing" and big crowds. I can withstand being in a crowd of 1000+ people and not have a slight feeling of claustophobia. On the way home the taxi driver made a detour to Marine Drive to help out some lost truck driver. I was kind of pissed because it was already 12:45 and had to get up for school in less than 6 hours but it was either get in the car with him or wait for another taxi so I decided to get in the car.

I don't like school. I feel like people are talking about me and saying things about me. I don't know, I know I'm probably just paranoid.... but I really think people are talking about me. I think I'll do better this year than last for sure, I have less distractions this year and I'm trying just to concentrate on school work this time around. Also, I only go to school 3x a week and work 3x a month so I have LOTS of time to do schoolwork.

On that note, I need a job. I'm going to look for optical work first and if that fails I will look into retail. I honestly don't want to go that route.

Also, I need to lose weight or at least eat more healthier. I don't understand how some Asian people can eat instant noodles everyday of their life and still be skinny and somewhat healthy.

MY TOP 5
1. La Eyeworks, Bent. (You will be mine soon my dear...)
2. Amy Winehouse - The Ska EP 7"
3. Jamie All Over by Mayday Parade (I honestly have to listen to that song everyday or I cannot start my day)
4. Burberry
5. Oli Sykes

Back again

That is right, I'm back again. This time for my own personal use and not some "super blog" like I wanted it to be. I just don't have time for that shit ya know? So I'm just going ramble on this and maybe people will start to read it? Yeah fucking right.

Anyways, it's summer now and because I've spent all my student loan money I have to work like a dog to pay it all back. 7 Days a week biatch. Well, soon to be 6 because one of my jobs became el cheapo and cut back on labour.. bitches. It sucks that both jobs pay at the end of the month so I'll be broke the whole month of july until the end with my big pay-out. I'm kinda stoked because I'll be able to save money that way but kinda not since I'm going to Pemberton and it's my birthday and I won't have any money for that.

I can't stop listening to Be Your Own Pet, it's riDONculous.

Also, I haven't seen my mom in 7 days but we live in the same house. Weird. And we're still on talking terms and everything!

html rulez d00d.

Ahhhhh. I changed the name of my blog. This time it's going to stick. This is now going to be called, "imnotastalker". That was actually the name of my ultra name website from five years ago.

Anyways, I saw the Hives last week:

You can check out more of my pictures from the show
HERE: http://www.flickr.com/photos/theswami

Good show overall, very entertaining. The Donnas were alright. Not into their newer material and to them "old stuff" was from the Spend the Night era which is NOT old in my opinion! I actually used to be a "Donnaholic" a few years ago but then they started asking me for money. haha.

The Hives were so good. They really lived up to my expectations. Played a lot of songs from Tyranesourous Hives and Veni Vedi Vicious which I was excited about. Closed the set with my favourite song from their new album, "Return the Favour".

Total eclipse of the heart

Just call me Mrs. McDreamy.
Anyways, I think I'm going to make this a photo blog. Of course there will be blog posts of my day as well but mostly pictures. Also, I'm calling this blog "more then ink". I took it from a Have Heart song, kind of. Their song is called "More ThAn Ink" but I decided to call mine, "more thEn ink" because some tailoring company took that name and even though this isn't a real "blog" that's read by many people I don't want to get sued.
As I said earlier, I saw There Will Be Blood. It was really good; very long but very good.
Yesterday was the eclipse but totally forgot until I was waiting for my bus after my practicum and was like, "why does the moon look so cool?". I tried taking a picture with my cell phone but unfortch, it didn't turn out well and the moon looks like a street light. Meh, c'est la vie.
Tomorrow is the Hives. I've been waiting to see them for years and years so I'm excited.
I'm trying to get a press pass for Warped Tour. Wish me luck.

Tired and broke.

Yeah, so I got a new camera. Well, two new cameras. I'm pretty stoked. One is an SLR Nikon D40 and the other is also a Nikon regular point + shoot. Pretty dope.
I went to an anti-valentines day party yesterday instead of Say Hi. I kinda regret it becuse Say Hi would've probably have been more fun. Oh well! The party was alright. There was a five dollar cover charge but they played pretty good music surprisingly (Jusice, Hot Chip, Daft Punk and so on and so forth).
I'm going to see There Will Be Blood tonight. I never heard of this movie but it's nominated for an Oscar so it better be good.

A whole lotta woman means a whole lot more!

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckadee, fuck, fuck.

Yesterday during the Mika show I broke my camera. My camera = my life. I was invited on stage so I jumped at the chance and yeeuh I forgot to shut of my camera and it broke the same way my other camera did. I guess it's a good excuse to buy a new camera, amirite? SLR here I come. A cheap one though, there is no way in hell I can buy an expensive one.

Well, as I said earlier I saw Mika yesterday and it was off the chain. It was so good. Best show of 2008 much? Well, an early contender for Best Show Of the Year.

There were a lot of gay males and older females of the concert but the crowd wasn't so bad. I had to sit on Alex's lap most of the time because his seat was so far away and mine was close. So yeah, it was awkward. You know what else was awkward? Seeing an old frienemy and their BF in the boys washroom at the show. Why I was in the boy's washroom? Don't ask!

Today is Say Hi To Your Mom. I'm still on the fence about going today. They are REALLY GOOD and this will probably be the last time they play a small cheap venue like the UNICORN but I have to work tomorrow and I hate not having enough sleep, it really wears me out.

Also, Panic! At the Disco tickets went on sale today @ 10:00 and I totally got myself a ticket. Scene kid much? Nah, just a wannabe.

Whip it good.

I am an idiot. Not too long ago, I was invited to see Say Hi @ the Royal Unicorn on Facebook but I declined because I was like, "oh, it's one of those lame hipster dance things" but I just realized Say Hi is short for "Say Hi To Your Mom" and that they are playing THIS SATURDAY. Now I have to go or I will die. This band is so good, and fun!

I got one of my wisdom teeth pulled out today. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought although I feel a bit nauceous. I feel like going to bed but I cannot due to a lame Communications paper. Booo.

My lab teacher Wayne called today. He told me my new practicum placement is now in Blundell Centre... nearby my old house, about an hour and a half (bus ride) away from my current home. :(.

I finally saw Juno yesterday. It wasn't as good as I expected but it was really cute. Especially Michael Cera. I love the way he acts, it's really cute as well.

On Sunday I saw Cobra Starship.

PJ & I drank at the Roxy before because there was no way in hell I was going to see this band sober. Although, I didn't get drunk I still had enough buzz in me to dance. The Cab and We the Kings opened. Thosebands are both really cute and very emo. That show brought in my inner twelve year old. I even tried to dress the part.

and i don't even read, what the papers gotta say about me

Let's get drunk and freaky fly.

I am now officially a vegetarian.

Yes, that's right. No more meat for Michelle Swami. I sit beside this straight edge vegan girl in my business communications class and she really convinced me to become a vegetarian. She was telling me about all the gross stuff that they feed the animals and that the government passed a by-law saying that they are allowed to sell cloned meat without marking it. Gross. She gave me a whole bunch of vegan recipes which was pretty sweet. (I don't think I'll ever be a vegan, I love cheese so dang much!)

So, I saw Editors yesterday.

And it was very, very good. Tom Smith is one crazy fellow. Listening to Editors music you would think they would put you asleep but Tom has so much energy it's worth money just to see him do his epilelectic fits. Hot Hot Heat played the show too and man did that bring back memories! They played all older stuff too w/ an exception of two songs. They aren't as popular as they used to be, hell, they were even pelted with bottles and cups during one of their songs. What a shame because this is their hometown after all!

I did my first day of my practicum today. It was so boring. All I did was clean glasses after glasses and file (which I do for a living anyways). That store was so dead they even sent me home 2.5 hours early. Lame. It sucks working at the mall though; you end up spending more money ie: on lunch, things on sale! Oh, and I just hate the mall in general.

Check yes Juliet.

I accidently gave my dog chocolate today, kind of. I was doing my homework and I went upstairs to get something and saw my dog on the stairs chewing on a package of hot chocolate. How much chocolate is actually in those things anyways? Not very much I hope other it's RIP Momo. :(

I love pop punk. I know I'm 19 and should be listening to more age-appropriate music but I cannot help it. And it's not pop punk like Blink-182, Sum 41 or Green Day... I'm talking about stuff like Cobra Starship (who I am going to see on Sunday) and my new obsession, "We the Kings". Check them out, they are for the Buzznet crowd but they are really, really catchy.

R.I.P.

Someone that I went to school with died today. I wasn't particularlly close to him, hell he even made fun of me in highschool along with the rest of his big group of friends but it's still kind of sad to think that someone that went to school with me has already died. This person's occupation was something that would've got him killed eventually (drug dealing much?) but still this person was much too young to have died.

Okay, so I started to write in this again.

That's right folks, I decided to write in my "blog" again. I guess I stopped writing in this thing because my life has been pretty dull and there was nothing to write about, but I promise I'm going to start writing in this shiz again.

Anyways, I'm at work right now and it's pretty bunk. I should be doing homework and studying right now but I'm not. I'm at the computer doing nothing. I should really start studying though seeing as how I almost FAILED one of my classes last semester and if I fail one my classes my future career as a dispensing optician will not be happening and I will not be able to live in my second home, the U.K. haha.

Yesterday was pretty lame. Went to work then afterwards Monica, Yu, PJ and I went to Wings for John Duffields birthday. It was okay, there was no tables big enouch so we sat in a booth beside John's party. We had a few drinks and a few wings and we decided to go to "I LOVE DAFT PUNK". We met up with Cory and his underage friend and tried to get in but man, the lineup was long. The line-up wasn't even full of hipsters like I would've expected. It was full of weird Persian gangsters and stuff. Weirrrd. But yeah, we decided not to go in and we went home. Yeah, see it was pretty lame. Although, at 22nd street skytrain station we met this dude that talked and acted like JORDAN SPERLING. It was hilarious.

That is all.

Also, I cannot stop listening to GALLOWS. AHHH.
